Fun ideas for a piglet themed birthday party for your child. Best tips and tricks for a piglet birthday party learned from my daughter's 1st birthday.

For my daughter’s 1st birthday we decided to do a Piglet themed birthday party. As a working mom, planning a birthday party can be really hard because of the limited time I have during the day. I chose not to host it at my house because of the added pressure of cleaning and organizing everything, not to mention the space we’d need! We settled on a local child’s play place and I ordered the majority of the party supplies on Amazon or Etsy. These are my top 5 ideas for planning a Piglet themed birthday party!

#1 Piglet Party Invitations

Finding the perfectly themed invitation is important. It sets the vibe of the party and lets guests know that there is a certain theme so that they can incorporate it into their gifts if they wish to.

#2 Piglet Decorations

Pink is the color of choice! You will need the following:

#3 Piglet Cupcakes

I decided to have a local friend make the cupcakes and I found the Piglet cupcake toppers on Etsy. The color of the desert is super important for the theme. The desert is everyone’s favorite part and gets displayed for the majority of the party so it’s one of the easiest ways to bring more pink into the ambiance of the party.

If you don’t know anyone who can make the cupcakes for you, check with your local grocery store or bakery.

#4 Piglet Favors

There are a lot of different options for favors.

  • Dollar store or Amazon Winnie the Pooh themed items
  • My choice: Piglet chocolate suckers with personalized gift tags from Etsy. These can be costly and it’s important to time the shipment but it was definitely worth it! The store I bought from does not have any current listings, Etsy is a good alternative.

#5 Piglet Outfit for the Birthday Girl

A Piglet themed outfit brings the entire theme together. Etsy has the cutest outfits for little girls. This was by far my favorite part of the birthday party theme! You can have your child’s name and birthday year included on the outfit. I bought this one from this store on Etsy.

Unfortunately, my little girl had a 102 fever for most of the weekend and was not her normal cheerful self. ย I was disappointed that she was sick on her first birthday, but she was a trooper and we made the best of it. She even managed to eat her cupcake (thank you Tylenol!).

  1. Happy birthday Lydia! What a milestone to make it through that first year. I am so sorry she was not feeling well for the big day. She is a beautiful girl, and I love the piglet cupcakes. Too cute.

  2. Aaaaw! What a sweet pea! I was sorry to miss the party…I hear everyone had a great time! Poor little birthday girl being sick on her special day ๐Ÿ™

  3. Poor little angel… At least her outfit was adorable!

  4. Oh such a sweet little one. The piglet cupcakes are adorable. Too bad she did not feel very good so she could not enjoy it more. Hope she is feeling better now.

  5. Hi Monica -I’ve popped over from Mommy Monday blog hop. What a gorgeous little girl you have. So sorry she felt unwell. The party looked beautiful. Here’s hoping her second year is filled with good health and great happiness. Great to meet you. Gilly

  6. You’re daughter is adorable and it looks like you gave her a super cute first birthday. My daughter turns one in January and I’m not too sure how I am going to do her birthday ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Hi Monica, your hubby sent me your blog link – I’m one of his customers in MN ๐Ÿ™‚ This is great! I have 3 kiddos, Xander age 6, Ava age 3 and Elsie age 20 months. I work PT and my hubby runs his businesses from home so he’s got the younger 2 while I’m at work, then when I get home, we switch! Its down to the minute sometimes, but it keeps them at home with one of at least ๐Ÿ™‚ I was home for 1.5 years when Xander was little – then I couldn’t wait to find a job. I’m too much of an extrovert to be at home!

It’s so fun to see what other people do for birthdays. We keep them very low key, and each kid’s birthday is within a few days of a cousin so the rule is you get the first one to yourself, otherwise we share…

For Xander’s first, he had a goose egg on his forehead from the day before – actually, so did Ava ๐Ÿ™‚ Elsie got through it fine, but the next day is when her fever hit and her eyes were all bloodshot too. Poor girl looked like she got punched!

Looking forward to more posts ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hi Julie! Welcome! My husband is always talking about my blog to people, it is sweet of him! He showed me pictures of your little ones too, very precious ๐Ÿ™‚ thanks for stopping by!!

  8. So cute! Visiting from #MMBH. I pinned this. ๐Ÿ™‚
